Concurrent Real-Time, Inc. currently has an opening for a full-time Senior FPGA/ASIC Design Engineer to work in our Pompano Beach, Florida location.

We are seeking a senior FPGA/ASIC design engineer to perform research and development in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) to develop custom hardware for the automotive and aerospace industries. The FPGA engineer will be with working with a team of engineers, prototyping and implementing new models and supporting existing models on their Altera based FPGA boards. The engineer will model designs in a simulation environment, verify real operation in the lab, collaborate with component engineers, address internal & external customer issues, and provide technical support to the engineering team.

Desired Skills:

Desired Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with HDL (System Verilog, Verilog)
  • Experience developing design requirements, implementation tradeoffs etc.
  • Experience with FPGA timing constraints , timing analysis, clock domain crossing
  • A record of owning projects successfully and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with C programming language in embedded systems

Desired Qualification:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field (Computer Engineering or other) is required. MS or PhD is preferred.

2) Job Posting: FY19-4

Concurrent Real-Time, Inc. currently has an opening for a Full-Time Custom Hardware Engineer 1 to work in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Position Summary: Concurrent Real Time Custom Engineering Department requires a candidate with knowledge of hardware systems, computer components, and peripherals. The engineer will need to address technical problems involving Concurrent RT systems and their interaction with non-Concurrent hardware products. They will also integrate non-Concurrent products into Concurrent RT systems and act as assigned engineer on projects and issues as a direct report to the Director of Custom Engineering.

Essential Duties:

  • Represent Concurrent Real-Time in a professional and business-like manner and communicate effectively with customers and peers.
  • Employ soft skills such as creative problem solving and effective oral/written communications.
  • Design, build, and test new hardware systems, electronic circuits, assemblies, computer components, and other electrical components/peripherals.
  • Design and assemble non-computer devices, such as break out boxes, signal converter modules, and integrated test adapters.
  • Assist sales and marketing staff in explaining new hardware systems to prospective clients
  • Direct and assist manufacturing staff with testing, integrating, and delivering complex systems.
  • Travel to customer sites to install, test, and support upgrades to custom systems.
  • Support customers with long term projects that utilize unique equipment designed by Concurrent-RT.
  • Design upgrade solutions for legacy equipment used in long term projects to mitigate obsolescence issues.
  • Effectively utilize test equipment, such as: oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency analyzers, circuit testers, electronic measuring probes, and a range of scientific and analytical software solutions

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hardware/Computer Engineering.
  • Working Knowledge of analog and digital equipment and circuit designs.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and open based systems.
  • Ability to work alone, without direction, seeing all assignments thru completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, build and integrate custom test systems and assemblies.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, decision making and analytical skills in a logical troubleshooting process.
  • Have excellent organization, communication, and customer relationship skills.
  • Must have minimum of at least a working knowledge of computer programming, device drivers, and software development.
  • Familiarity with computer, aerospace, and automotive communication interfaces.
